Treasure Hunt of Homes

Our Prudential office hosted our own version of the Pirates of the Caribbean with the  “Treasure Trove Home Tour” in Los Banos. It was a great opportunity to view several homes on the market during this event of simultaneous open-houses showcasing 17 homes.

Participants were provided with a treasure map to the homes where they picked up a coin at each location that would give them chances to enter our drawing for prizes.

We all went back to the office for food and cheer while we gave away prizes to several lucky winners. A gas bbq grill was awarded along with gift baskets and a variety of other items.

Monthly Real Estate Seminar Series Launches a Successful Premier

The new Real Estate Seminar Series, sponsored by Prudential California Realty, launched its first event on Thursday with rave reviews. This free event features a different topic each month and is open to the public. This month’s theme was “First Time Home Buyers”. Our visiting speakers were from Alliance Title and Shamrock Funding. There was some great information on types of loans and how to be successful in obtaining them.

We had several winners in our onsite drawing and one lucky person won a free vacation!!

Attendees also learned some great tips to improve and protect credit ratings, before and during the escrow process. A "Home Buyers Resource Guide" with information and worksheets covering the various phases of the home buying process was also provided.

It was a smashing success and we look forward to next month’s seminar featuring the "1031 Tax Exhange" on how to avoid paying taxes on capital gains when you sell your property, as well as how to accrue income and increase your asset holdings. This is great information for everyone, whether you currently have investment property or not.

NAR Conference and Expo (or)
My day with Dr. Phil

I attended the National Association of Realtor’s Convention in San Francisco. It was so much fun and I learned a lot too. It’s always exciting to connect with industry professionals and hear about emerging trends and see the cutting-edge technology. I also gained inspiration from the motivational speakers that possess so much energy that it’s contagious. I attended a "Memory Seminar" too. Unfortunately, I can’t remember how to utilize the techniques I learned. ;)

And last but not least, I saw Dr. Phil!!! WhooHooo! He was great. His main message was that you have to have passion in your life. You should feel it for whatever you do and give it all you’ve got. Isn’t that the truth? And we all need to be reminded of that now and then.

I'ts important to love what you do to feed your spirit. I will call on that enthusiasm when I have one of those days that my energy level seems to waine and my passion-level meter starts falling. We all have those days, but luckily it’s only temporary. I will recall the words of Dr. Phil, as the sweat beads were forming on his forehead from his passion for speaking, and get PUMPED UP for life! Life really is so short and passes so fast, so do what you enjoy and give it your best effort.
